Calculate performance density altitude based on temperature and pressure.
Density altitude is pressure altitude corrected for non-standard temperature. In simpler terms, it's the altitude at which the airplane 'feels' like it's flying. High density altitude significantly reduces aircraft performance.
DA = PA + [120 × (OAT - ISA)]
High density altitude leads to: longer takeoff roll, reduced climb rate, and higher true airspeed on landing. Always consult your POH performance charts.
